XL-100 Our latest development in coatings offers improved wear resistance to abrasive,
adhesive, or difficult-to-machine materials such as, cast iron, aluminum alloys, tool steels, copper, inconel and titanium alloys. This multi-layered coating is best suited for hard work materials over
40 Rc and operations involving interrupted cuts, high shock applications, and difficult forming jobs.
The addition of carbon gives this coating more hardness and better surface lubricity. XL-100 is capable of having a surface hardness reaching 90 Rc.
